Where does my money go?
Five of the 10 leading causes of death in children are chronic diseases. Some of these children will never have the chance to taste their first birthday cake. Others will never play their first little league game. Even more of these children will never experience their first high school dance. Walk 4 sMiles wants to assure you that the funds you contribute are spent wisely. 100 % of the funds you raise goes to support various Kids Who Care programs to cheer up children with chronic medical conditions globally. Kids Who Care is an all-volunteer 501c-3 non-profit organization.
KWCF will also donate a portion of the proceeds from the Walk 4 sMiles to help bring smiles to:
1.Haitian children who are survivors of the terrible 7.0 earthquake, by providing school supplies, books, and games. These children have been struck by this horrible tragedy and many of them are now left with absolutely nothing.
2. Ill children at Childrens Hospital Los Angeles by donating toys/books/games/etc to bring smiles.
Your donation will also help the KWCF mission to cheer up children with catastrophic medical conditions globally..
How do we do this?
We bring communities together to teach the kids at a very young age to be more caring and compassionate by getting them involved in community service. KWCF has sent out over hundreds of Smile Packs and Card Quilts to critically ill children globally, and our entertaining Traveling Variety Show has brought Big smiles on their faces. By doing this, we bring a smile to a hospitalized child’s face and we also instill in our volunteers how important it is to accept kids with chronic medical conditions and disabilities. Our online pancreatitis support group provides support and resources for children suffering from pancreatitis, a rare and painful disease in children. Our goal is to not only bring smiles but to teach our community youngsters not to make fun of other children with disabilities and terrible illnesses and be their friend. So help us today by walking-skipping-running with us and sponsoring the Walk 4 sMiles.
