We have the following needs in summer:

1. For Bio or Med student:

We need your help with coordinating and organizing the parent education seminar in pancreatitis/diabetes/nutrition. We need your help in contacting the local hospitals and confirming the facility, contacting the physicians and in getting the word out to various hospitals/patients. We also need help in pancreas support network on the research aspect. Phone call, emailing and meeting people will be involved.

2. All others: Need help with collecting of items for teens in the hospitals. All our toy collections at the moment is for 3-10 years old. We need stuff for older children. Maybe set up a card making event and people can bring a toy to donate for a kid in the hospital. This can be organized at your local library or ymca/boys and girls club. You can also set up a tennis or basketall tournament or an art contest to raise funds and then buy the items for teens from that funds.

3. We also need help in researching grants and maybe even writing one.

4. Create a database for all pediatric GI doctors in the country and contact them for our pancreatitis program via email and mailing letters.

5. We also need a college student or an adult to help with business development by contacting various businesses.

6. We are looking for a theater major to help with writing a script and being our traveling variety show manager.
